Recorded in a mini-studio-in-a-garage, in June 2007:
Live Noise will be appearing at the Romsey Beggars Fair 2009 on Saturday 11th July!
We’re performing twice:
I just dug these out of the guestbook of the old site, perhaps it’s worth preserving them for posterity!
Well, I’m not able to update the site proper myself, but I thought all our hundreds of adoring fans ought to know that we are performing in the Beggar’s Fair in Romsey next weekend!!
We’re at the Tudor Rose on Friday 7th July at 8 o’clock in the evening, and at the Three Tuns on Saturday 8th July at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
Entry is free – not just to our gigs, but the whole festival – and we’ll be doing some NEW stuff!! Please come along if you can!

I was directed to make an amusing post, not too sure if I can manage that but I’ll try. Here goes:
I’m getting a treadmill today…if the thought of me running doesn’t amuse you well then I don’t know what will!
Spiffing site, keep it up. *waves*

Live Noise sang almost a year ago at my Wedding ( they *were* the ceremony music ) They were superb, and everyone commented on how brilliant they were. I have to say it made my day so special , knowing that they had arranged and were singing the songs that Nick and I choose.

We had a gig at the Fo’c’sle Folk Club last December and a chap played a really fun song called “The Wine Song”. Alex took the time to track it down and it’s by a amazing guitarist called Grant Baynham. We’ve managed to get a CD of his stuff and have been listening and laughing…
A good article on Techdirt about the new music economy. Seems we need to forget about record sales and just get on with making music, really.
We need (and also really want) gigs! Feed us all the gigs you can think of and we’ll be your friends, or at least give you a good professional set. We have a reasonably broad repertoire which we can pick goodies out of to suit many occasions, and we won’t cost you the moon.
Ok, so we’ve finally all managed to get ourselves into the same studio at the same time as each other for a day, along with my sister’s husband Dan, whose studio it is. Incidentally his cousin is the frontman of the splendid Thirteen Senses, who played the Joiners in Southampton not so long ago, and a great gig it was too. Props to Will and the lads! Where was I? Oh yeah, so we managed to get quite a few tracks down in the day we had, and Dan’s just sent me a scratch edit of Simon Diamond and Batman Pyjamas, originally by local legend Johnny Jet, and the signs are good for some decent quality recordings popping up on our OurSpace! Keep ‘em peeled
Right, I gots to crash now, cos it’s a school night and all.
Peace, love and harmony
Rupert
Well, I’m completely new to this whole blogging malarkey, but I’m going to give it a go!
I’m Toby, the bass provider from Live Noise, and I don’t claim to speak for the whole band, and I don’t expect I’ll be the only one to post on here, now that I’ve got the ball rolling – at least I hope I’m not!
We, Live Noise, have been a bit quiet, publicly, of late, mainly due to bad organisation on our own part. A couple of nights ago we performed at the Candle Club open mic night, which is where we first played publicly together as Live Noise, and the audience there has always been very appreciative. If you’re a performer of any kind (usually solo, but there have been more than that), and you’re looking for a chance to try out your stuff on an audience, it’s a great place to go – it’s not just musicians either, as they have poets and stand-up comics too. It happens every Monday, and is usually compered by the brilliant Johnny Jet . If you want to know more, have a look at www.candleclub.co.uk. On the first Sunday of every month they have a showcase of the best of the previous month’s acts, and we’ve been invited to take part (3rd time for us, I think) on Sunday April 1st. Come along if you can!
In the slightly longer term, we’re trying to find a time when the band can come together to do a day’s recording session, in a garage kindly provided by a good friend of ours, as we’d like to have some better quality recordings than the ones you can currently hear on our page.
I’d just like to sign off by directing people to the page of http://www.myspace.com/mylostoriginLost Origin – Rupert’s brother-in-law is their lead guitarist, and he and I were lucky enough to be at their first ever gig a few weeks ago, which was a real cracker! They’ve got through to the Top 30 acts of the O2 undiscovered competition, so please vote for them by following the link from their page.
That’s all from me for now.
Let me know your comments – should I or the rest of the band continue the blog? Or should we shut up and leave it to someone who’s better at it?
Cheers,
Tobs
